American actress Anne Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York. Her first major movie role came as the lead in Disney's The Princess Diaries in 2001. In 2004, Anne appeared in Ella Enchanted and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. In 2005, Hathaway took on more provocative roles in Havoc and Brokeback Mountain, appearing nude in both films. In 2006, Hathaway starred opposite Meryl Streep . Hathaway is most known for her innocent and spunky roles such as "The Princess Diaries," but this fall that drastically changes in her latest film, "Rachel Getting Married."
